v1 Β· updated 2026-07-04
One garden. One night. One spider between the falling sky and her eggs. Web Weaver is a serene-but-tense arcade-strategy game where the web you weave is everything at once: your trap, your roads, your senses, and your instrument. Stretch silk between moonlit twigs to snare drifting moths, layer strands to stop tumbling beetles, and pitch steep silk roofs to shed the debris raining toward your three egg sacks on the branch below. Every strand you set plucks a harp note tuned to its length β weave well, and your web becomes a chord. Survive until dawn, and it plays your song as the sun rises and your brood hatches.
You can only walk where there is silk or wood, so every strand extends your reach as well as your trap. Your web tells you everything: bright silk is silk you can walk to, torn-off sections fade to ghost-grey until you bridge back to them, little white knots mark every crossing you can turn at, and the strand under your feet glows white. Feel for vibrations: the web trembles wherever something struggles, and a fresh pounce pays double. Silk is precious β eat what you catch to spin more, and reabsorb old strands to reshape your architecture as the night escalates from gentle moths to wasps and howling gusts of wind.
πΉοΈ Controls
- β¬ οΈβ‘οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ β Crawl along silk, twigs, and branch (or drift freely while spinning a new strand)
- π ΎοΈ Z β Anchor silk: tap to attach, drift to your target, and tap again when the bright ring shows where it will fasten
- β X β Strike: pounce and wrap nearby caught prey (also cancels a strand mid-spin)
- β X (hold on an empty strand) β Reabsorb your own silk for a partial refund
πΈοΈ The night, in order of arrival
- π¦ Moths β drift down gently; any strand catches them. Your food and your rhythm.
- πͺ¨ Debris β tears through flat strands but deflects off steep ones. Angle your silk like a roof over the eggs.
- πͺ² Beetles β smash through one strand, get caught by the second. Layer your defenses β and if one lands, it crawls for your eggs. Pounce it!
- π Wasps β caught by anything, but they tear free in seconds. When the web shakes hard, run.
- β¨ Fireflies β rare, radiant, and never struggle. Eat one for a burst of silk, gold light through your web, and double score.
π₯ Protect the eggs: three sacks rest on the branch below. Debris and beetles destroy them on contact, and they do not come back. Lose all three and the night ends early. Reach dawn, and every surviving sack hatches spiderlings who scurry across the web you built β one for every thousand points. Your best night is saved.
π Changelog
v1 β 2026-07-04
- Initial release: play as a spider defending your web through the night against waves of bugs.
- Weave strands between anchor points to build and repair your web in real time.
- Insects caught in silk can be pounced and wrapped for score and silk; debris and beetles that slip through destroy your egg sacks.

- Pentatonic audio plays as you weave, giving the web a musical harp-like feel.
- Survive until dawn to win.
